Anyone else got teen boy who rides? where do you get your riding kit from? We do a bit of eventing, dressage, hunting and PC stuff. He is currently wearing old kids sized jods 11-12 but is in desperate need of something age appropriate, but without bling or pink. He is 32 jacket and 26 waist trousers. Any ideas?

Sorry it is really tough, my nephew has decathlon jodhs plus some of my husband's cast offs (so small waisted men's) he has also had aldi jodhs when the colours are suitable but they are often too girly (take them out of the packaging as they show girls/women.

Boots are decathlon, tops he just wears normal t-shirts/sweatshirts/hoodies.

His jacket was second hand from a friend.

It is awfully discouraging for boys to try to buy gear and be faced with mountains of pink sparkly crap. Don't know why the brands don't do more unisex stuff in navy/grey/black/etc as plenty of girls and women don't want pink either!

I think shires do boys jodphurs. I know quite a few teenage boys who ride, and they just tend to wear navy/black/grey/beige jodhs (dublin, harry hall, shires etc.) but when they were younger they used to have funky coloured chaps (one of them had a khaki pair which he loved). Also when he gets a bit bigger, quite a few mens jodhs come in a 28"waist...

I share your pain! It's really hard to find stuff. At nearly 16 he's in to the bottom sizes of men's riding stuff as he takes a 36" jacket, but is still only a 28" waist. Most men's breeches seem to start at 32". Until now he's worn shires boys jods. Unfortunately reasonably priced men's / boys clothing seems nearly non existent. For just hacking / general riding he'll often ride in slim fit jogging bottoms.

Maids sizes would probably work, they don't tend to be curvy like ladies and would have a smaller waist size. No one will know they aren't men's

I have a Harry Hall youth's 36" 100 per cent black wool hunt jacket, in perfect condition and just back from the cleaners - pm me if you are interested in it - sorry please ignore just noticed you are looking for a 32" :o

Thanks everyone. It seems that its not just me then. I have bought a few online and ended up sending them back as they are too big in the waist. It seems to be a bit of trial and error. I would love one shop that did everything all in one place and something a bit more exciting than plain black jods. Looks like its wishful thinking!
