Teeth eruption problems

am having teeth erruption problems at mo, horse x-rayed and phew is no infection has now bn left for a month to let the caps become slightly higher in jaw line (poss come away themselves) if not vet/dentist removing within the month fingers x!! on bute!! Did you have your chap x-rayed? not able to do pics sorry!

Well, one of mine had her full set of adult incisors without shedding her full set of temporary incisors...they were in rows like a sharks.
It did resolve itself, as most tooth eruption problems do....what is yours doing?

Thanks everyone,

The problem im having is that Inky's premolars are growing inwards as oppose to upwards

thus causing a LARGE bony bump on the side of his bottom jaw

The vets at leahurst dont want to operate yet to remove any teeth because they say they want to see if they sort themselves out. ( although own vet states he doesnt believe this is gonna happen ) They believe he's too young to operate yet ( 21 months ) and want to wait till he's at least 2.5 - 3 years old.

I know of a friend who's mini had the same problem and their vet operated on him straight away and removed the offending tooth and shaved the jaw bone removing the bony lump. The vets have told me that Inkys lump may never go away and im devestated as thats his showing career over with

Im just worried that if he's not operated on sooner rather than later that it may cause more problems and that by operating now it gives the teeth chance to grow before it becomes a major problem. Although i do understand surgery of this nature in a young horse is very serious. Im just not sure whats they best for him as i have half the prople telling me to wait and half to seek a second opinion for the vet who did the other minis operation.

Has anyone had any molar eruption problems that have required surgery???
