Am looking for some advice, my horse hangs onto his right rein and can be strong whether ridden or lunged. He chews on the bit constantly and shakes his head. This has started in the last few weeks.
I have had his teeth checked by the dentist and although they were sharp there was nothing really wrong but am now wondering if there may still be a problem.
Has anyone got any experiences of teeth issues?

Are you sure the bit you use is the correct bit for your horse. Does it sit comfortably in his mouth, is there room for his tongue, does it have too much pressure bearing down on the bars of the mouth?

Try him in a headcollar or dually (in an enclosed area) and see if he does it then. Then you have your answer.

He has had a fall but I have had him checked since then....why

Just wondering if he could have neck pain as this could cause the symptoms you describe, the chewing would be as a result of tension somewhere. Has the horse been displaying problems with the bit since the fall? A previous horse I owned hurt his neck and he started shaking his head up and down on hacks quite violently at times, and he was also very strong through the neck. He'd had a fall onto his neck.

It might be worth you getting a physio to give him the once over and check that his neck has full range of movement.
