hi - i'm new! I've been reading the messages for a while but have never got round to joining - not too good with computers. I was interested in a recent post from Cobland about her horses canine teeth. My mare is 8 and has lumps half way between her front & back teeth on lower jaw where canine teeth would be. Its as if teeth have tried to come through but have not come to anything. I've had her 4 years and i think they've always been there, My dentist has never mentioned these & they don't seem to bother her but i just wondered if this was normal. I didn't think mares got canine teeth anyway. I anyone has any thoughts i'd be interested to hear your views. She is a strange horse in many other ways also no doubt i'll be on here again in future asking about other things! Hope I've done this post properly as i'm useless with IT stuff.

Hello.
My last mare was 8 when I bought her and she had canine teeth. I too was told its mainly geldings that have them and was told if they werent causing any trouble to leave well alone.
