had pony's teeth rasped about 6 weeks ago as she was showing alot of signs of not being happy, head tilting pulling daughter out of saddle difficulty putting bridle on etc. Anyway after having teeth done different pony :-) but know shes showing all them signs again!!! now when she was done she was a nightmare rearing charging backwards etc etc and dentist said she was unable to do the best job, and said she may well need to come back out. question is has anyone used dormosedan gel? is it any good for a very sensitive mare? or shall i just call vet out to properly sedate and for him to do her teeth???

I used Dormosedan last week for my horse, who is not very tolerant of the farrier shoeing her behind. It was VERY effective. It is quite expensive £38.00, and you have to administer it under the tongue, if you shoot it down their throat it simply does not work, so you need to be confident to get it in the right place. You also need to wear gloves, because you can't get it on your skin.

My horse was zonked in 30 minutes and stayed that way for another 1.5 hours. Powerful stuff, my vet thought it was as good as a jab for many horses.
