Tell me about appaloosas

My BSJA pony was an appaloosa, she was the best jumper I have ever sat on, extremely consistent and gave everything. I would love another like her!

I've only recently discovered "spotties" after moving into a field share with a friend who has 2. (full brother and sister) Brother is rising 4 backed and ridden away with a lovely tempermant, very friendly but not bolshy and very willing.

Sister is 10 months old and a little devil (in a lovable way but she is a red head!) I've never known a foal to have such a wonderful tempermant - however, she has demonstrated her excellent ability as a showjumper, by jumping a 5 foot fence the other day as she was unhappy at being put in a seperate field for a little while  so I would say showjumping is her future. and she is very forthright in her views (but not agressive or nasty).

I would certainally consider one in the future

My appy has a thin wispy tail, she has a hogged mane and is built like a brick @@@@ house, (that could possibly be from the section d in her though lol)
Although i havent jumped her yet, she jumps out of everywhere and over anything if she chooses. She is very loyal to me, and loving, even though she is in with my other 7 horses. If i ride her she wont rush off afterwards but will stay with me if im cleaning out.
She changes colour all the time.

This is my one. He has can jump brilliantly and is very kind.

Heres my lad.. Haverlands Raphael:

IMAG0316.jpg

He's by In The Spotlight and out of Bloxham Karysma. Had him since he was weaned and he's coming up 4 this july.
He's opinionated and often grumpy and will only let you give him a kiss if nobodys looking!! But He's also very clever, talented and will be a fantastic horse once we get going. Training him is sometimes trivial, as we often have a disagreement when trying something new and it took a little while for him to realise that I was in charge and not him. But once he understands what im asking he'll try his little heart out. I absolutely adore him and wouldn't hesitate to have another.
