Always had a trailer but keen to buy a small box for my 16.1 mare and preferably enough room to carry two safely. I would prefer a compact 5-6 ton box .don't need living and prefer rear facing.
I don't know which are good models to look at , what does coach built mean and can you still but rear loading lorries or are they all side loading.
Also read about tilt cabs being easier to maintain..is that right.

Anything else I should look for. I will have about £10000 to spend

I've got a 5.2 ton iveco daily 04 plate which I love. More than enough payload, a little day living bit & so easy to drive, turn around, park etc. It is side load, front facing. The horses seem to love traveling in it. Previously had driven a 3.5t conversion but prefer mine. Paid £9750 but spent £2k on replacing floor & ramp & other bits & bobs that came up. Found it quite difficult to get lorry of this size in my budget. Either very old dodge (avoid as can't get parts) or double price & more

Another HHOer has this one for sale, is certainly worth looking at for you I'd say https://www.facebook.com/groups/454...39770616037992/?sale_post_id=1839770616037992

I hope I haven't stepped on anyone's toes but my husband viewed this truck yesterday and loved it. He paid deposit and we are collecting on Friday. So excited to see it. It takes a lot to impress my husband but he was blown away with how well it has been looked after. Looking forward to getting out and about with her.
