Tell me about your first pony nd what horse you have now??

My first pony was Syrup a stunning dun 12.2hh, a total superstar. He was the perfect first pony, he did everything hacked, hunted, pony clubbed, showed etc. He had been my brother and sisters pony before me, so he did our family proud but sadly developed cancer and had to be pts :(
I then had a string of disaster ponies that were typical naughty ponies and it took a year to find another superstar grey mare Teddy!

I now have a Welsh D 15.2hh who i have had for 10 years, definitley my horse of a life time, hes done everything for me and done well at everything, but have had "intresting" moments as with all Welsh D's, he does have lots of character! Also have a lovely connie who is also a total sweetie to have around, would definitley have another connie, temprement is brill.
And got a Friesian yearling filly who will be the next horse.

First pony was Smokey. A welsh I think ( I was only 4 years old!).
He escaped from his field and was killed by a drunk driver.
Now have a 16.2 hh Dutch Warm Blood fleabitten grey mare (with Totilas bloodlines!), her 7 month old foal and a 14.2hh Fjord.

my first pony was called flash, he was a 13.2 newforest, he was an absolute swine and could unseat just about anyone, he taught me to have superior superglue lol, we had some amazing years where he taught me a lot and made me laugh and cry, sadly he was pts last week rip old man
i have a giant ginger beast 17.2hh, who is an absolute sweet heart and a 14.2 welsh d mare with a serious attitude

My first pony was an 11hh Welsh A x Shetland who i got when I was 3! He was a perfect leadrein pony but hated going off on his own. He was very cheeky and could escape from a double wired highest volt electric fencer pen that he had to go in to keep his weight down well into his 30's! He was PTS at the beginning of this summer :'(

Since then I have had 2 loan ponies both 13.2 Welsh sec B's! I did loads on my second one, Pony club games and polocrosse mostly though!

I now have my mum's homebred welsh Sec D mare Emma who is an absolute star! I am doing pony club on her and hopefully going to get her to polocrosse training this winter :)

My first pony that I owned was a 13.2h palomino called Zak - I was 14 at the time.

Since then I've had a few but now me and OH have friesians - we've had them now for about 6 years and I don't think after owning them that I would ever want anything else.

We have 2 mares and 2 yearlings, Danica and Dandea are the mares and Dandea is my dream horse, then we have Daegan and Freyja - the yearlings.

My first pony was an Arab when i was 12/13. He was a 14/15yo 14.1, grey gelding, ridiculously fast, insainly fit naturally, jumped anything and everything, lively, sharp, could leave the pointers that i used to ride out with sometimes for dust, and was strong as an ox. Shocking idea for a first pony....but he was the best pony in the world. Wouldnt travel so competitions and pony club were a no go, but we did local shows and indoor shows in the winter.
Rubbish to hack out with others he found it too exciting! Most loving pony in the world, we had an incredible bond. I enjoyed every second that i had him. I had the best hacks of my life on that pony! When we first got him he would be lead anywhere without bolting, 2 people couldnt hold him....but with time and patience and a rope halter we got there and i could have lead him down a motorway by the time we sold him. I would have him back straight away if i could could trace where he is :-(

Now i have a 16.1 16yo TB x WB bay mare. She is gorgeous. Hilariously funny. She isnt cuddly or affectionate....snorts at things she doesnt like! Very hoity toity and lady of the mannor! I offered her a piece of swede the other day and she sniffed it, snorted at it, and walked to the back corner of her stable and looked round over her shoulder with a look of horror that i had offered her anything other than a tesco finest carrot! fussy old wench!!
She evented to intermediate level, did a hind leg tendon so had 2 babies and some time off and now i have her. She is so genuine its unreal, hacks alone or with others. Is a brillian hack, safe but with sparkle. Perfect in traffic, but will whip round at a dustbin just to keep you on your toes :-D
Am doing flatwork and having lessons with her and she is teaching me absolutely tonnes. She is so willing and will try her heart out for you and puts up with me not quite getting things right....(flat work isnt my strong point) however my instructor was yelling " we will make a dressage rider out of you yet" and "yes yes lovely yes thats it, spot on" alot during my lesson the other day....so things must be getting better in the flatwork department!
We will start jumping in the next few weeks :-D
My mare is an angel in all ways, ridden and to handle and i love her to pieces.

First pony was Boom Boom. I got him when I was 4....I guess he was cheaper than a hitman. A classic evil Thelwell Shetland. Boom bit, kicked, pinched, bucked---and he was MINE! We were great friends when he wasn't biting, kicking, pinching or bucking...Hmmm, come to think of it, he was evil. Boom was parrotmouthed ("The better to pinch the back of your arm my Pretty") and knew God when he was a corporal. I'd lift up his forelock and you could see these little beady red demon eyes from hell....he was special.

I've currently a lovely Perchie x Saddlebred jumper named Sterling Silver who has discovering he likes hunting....and my gaited mule Jackson (my horse is so embarrassed).

Well my parents first bought 3 horses(yes all on the same day), 2 welsh section D's(stallion and mare) and a TB mare, we bought them in the winter of 1991, but the following summer, 1992, I was 11yrs old, they bought me seren, a chunky 14.2hh irish cob, I still have her over 18years later and still happily ride her,she is now 20 :D

I got my first pony when I was 18 - she was an unknown age, 15HH Connemara x TB (but everything that was for sale at the time was a connie x tb!) she was mad as a box of frogs and would tank off with me at every given opportunity, I learned a lot about patience and flat work from riding her! I had to sell her again when I was 20 and I found out that the man who bought her kept her till she died about 6 years ago...

25 years after I sold her, I bought my new lad [18 months ago], he's a 16.3HH 7 y/o ISH, he's a cheeky so and so, but great fun, very lovable and quick to learn things - which he remembers later ... He's nothing like my first pony!!

My first pony(who i still have) was a 21.1hh chestnut welsh section c (now21) brilliant pony never does anything wrong apart from being a little grumpy

Then I had Matley Armani (Mattie) 13.1hh New Forest
Then Miss Springfield II 13.2hh Liver Chestnut ISH

And now........
Java 15.2hh Appaloosa x TB (He isnt Spotty tho) He is Bright Bay and a real character

I still have my very first pony! He's a 13.2hh Welsh x Highland, now about 22/23 years old. My parents got him for me as a surprise when he was 5, best surprise ever. He was probably a bit young as a first pony and I do remember getting frequently eliminated from show jumping... I still occassionally ride him now, even though I'm huge on him - he still tanks off with me sometimes.

Currently have the horse in my siggy. He's a 16hh Luso x TB. He's now 12yrs old, got him when he was a very green 5yo. He was so scrawny when I got him (looked like a donkey!), I never thought he'd turn into what he has and got me doing the stuff I do with him eventing and SJ wise!

My first pony was an 11.2hh Cremola called Dee, she was late 20s and ugly as hell, but I loved her to bits. She passed away after 5 years but she was a brilliant first pony for a very adventurous 7 year old :-)
Now I have Shadow a 16.2hh ID x.....lovely lovely horse who is a gentle giant
