What breeding do they have and what do you do with them?
(Pictures would also be lovely)

1st By King Charles SF
(Kayack/Lisa du Mesnil) ex mare by Glidawn Diamond - fomer SJer now hunts

2nd by Jupiter du Thot (SF) ex Gael Force (ISH) mare - got Carnival Night and I'm a Star in her bloodlines - will be showing next year then going hunting.

My last horse was a SF - he was a schoolmaster eventer, by Useful (TB) out of Atacela (SF mare), 16.3hh and a total perfect gentleman in every way

Josh, you were amazing, and I think the person who owns you now is very very lucky indeed

My 4 year old is Selle Francais x, by Vasey Kerellec. Paces to die for and an absolutely super temperament. Had her since she was two, paid a lot, but absolutely delighted with her so far. Just wish she'd stop growing!!! 2 inches in the last 3 months! My legs aren't going to be long enough!

I am currently riding Frisbee Kerellec who use to be a breeding stallion, grand prix horse etc. He has a quirky personality to say the least but is a beautiful horse! I posted a forum just a new minutes ago but was wondering if anyone of you Selle Francais lovers knew of anyone who still has some frozen Frisbee Kerellec semen?

Mine has a lot of SF in him but is a belgum warmblood :P. Have to say I am very put off of the pure breds as my friend has two, one has completley torn the ligament away from the foot (vet advised pts but she refuses) and the other has such severe arthritis that he cant bend his front legs for flexion more than 90 degrees, both are under 10 years old!! Then look at the advert to the side, it has stringhalt :p!!

My old boss had a little SF stallion. I used to hack and jump him as well as look after him on a daily basis when I was 12. He was the sweetest horse and was so well behaved. He broke his hind leg out jumping and was on box rest and crossed tied for months and was still lovely. He was the first horse I jumped over 5' on and I was only 13. I am currently looking for a new horse and would def consider a SF. I knew a number of his offspring, but some were quirky. One in particular, but I also knew the dam and she def played a part there!

I have a 6 year old Selle Francais, 15.3h. He has Double Espoir in his bloodline but not sure if father or grandfather as don't have papers to hand. Anyway he has competed at Club 1 level (in France, not sure if you do it like that in England). He has done cross, dressage and showjumping. I personally haven't competed him as I am novice/intermediate but he is a great horse to learn with as he can do it all, but is not too much to handle. He has a really wonderful temperament, and is just a great allrounder. I have even found the confidence to hack out alone with him!!

I had a SF mare on loan, sadly she was put down last month, and she was lovely. Somewhat quirky but she could certainly jump! And she was beautiful. 15.3hh btw

sire was defi platiere who jumped at the Olympics for Italy. Dam was another SF but I forget!

Loved her. She was so gentle with my totally non horsey OH and used to baby sit all the ponies and even the nervous riders on my yard had a sit on her as she was so utterly trustworthy to ride. The idea of her bucking or rearing or putting in a big spook was just ridiculous!

I've had my girlie 10 years now; she's SF x Arab :)

She's an absolute star - I would desperately like to find the same cross or similar again because she is perfect in every way. We bought her primarily to show jump, and did so successfully for four years until I lost my nerve in a jumping accident :( We then became happy hackers for a few years, until this year we discovered a mutual liking for cross country jumping, something I never ever thought I would enjoy!

Love her to bits - she's one in a million :) x

Selle Francais are the best horses in the world. However I am completely biased, which is lucky as I have 8 of them. 6 are as SF as is possible, 1 is SF x AA and 1 is SF x ISH. I just love the temperaments they all have and very importantly they all jump like you wouldn't believe. Love them!
