Further to the encouraging comments.......... and following capture last Sunday (from home in a rabbit hole under a tree)

Feral Kitty comes home tomorrow, and we're ready to go :-)

I can announce kitty is a 'she' and no more than 5 months old (I thought she was about 14 weeks, she was so small).
Her bloods are clear - Yeah!!! and she's been neutered, de-fleed, wormed, and had a clean bill of health, the vet says she wouldn't have survived if she'd been left to fend for herself.

She's very very frightened, but hasn't flipped when caught and handled, so I'm hoping it will make it easier to tame her - she's already stopped diving into her bed when she's fed, and has started sleeping on top of her dome bed rather than in it.

All the animals were very excited tonight following set up of large Dog Crate, and my two younger cats dragged the puppy liner across the bottom of the cage to pull one of the catnip toys to the bars - a right pair of Einsteins.

They've been hanging around looking to see what's in there already, inbetween excited play together.

So, my next request is ideas for names - I have cats Milli, Timmy & Toby, and Molly the Lab.
Kitty is black, has quite a long coat, and is obviously tiny!

aww poor kitty. Nice to hear you have decided to give her a home. I missed the original post though.
I like Smokey for long haired black cats, but the obvious choice would have to be Lucky

thats great! get ready for a few weeks of dis jointed noses! hope the introductions go well and no one gets an extreme huff!

Thanks ofcourseyoucan - I meant to say in the last thread that your Tag was so appropriate for my original question ;-)

I expect introductions to be as follows:

CATS.....

Milli - ok, she won't go anywhere near kitty, and will hiss if kitty approaches (all my animals avoid her, she gives off a vibe - she's a 15-16yr old baggage who sleeps in her bed under the radiator 24/7 when she's not eating).

Toby - ok, he's accepted new cats before, and he pretty even tempered (used to bring his friends home from the neighbourhood to play when he was younger)

Timmy - not sure, last in, although loves Toby, and runs away from Mafia Cats in the neighbourhood

DOG

Molly - ok, she's ever so good, and loved by my cats (she's incredibly tollerant, and they use her to knead on, and rub their faces on her)
However, I fully expect Kitty to be terrified and likley to flip so this will be the last introduction out of the cage - just hope when she regularily witnesses how the other cats are with her, she'll get the idea.

:D:D great to hear you are having her....ebony, inky, sapphire(saffi), shadow, cocoa, chocolate, , dusty, dinky, please let us know what name you choose and PICCIES PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Oh good on you! I'm sure it was meant to be. :D

For name suggestions you could have Alice (down the rabbit hole) Mandy (Milly, Molly. Mandy) and Tilly matches the other names too. :)

Oh how exciting, i am soo pleased for kitty that she has a lovely new home with lots of new furry friends, cant wait to see some pics.

Good luck tomorrow, x:)

So glad to hear you kept her and she has a clean bill of health. My ferel kitten lived to a ripe old age of 19 and was loved to bits for her whole life. She was very affectionate BUT could be very aloof too. When frightened she would dive between the matress and the bottom sheet of my bed.

How about 'Minuet' or Mini for short.

:-)
My black house cat is called Blackberry - might suit her - black (obviously!!!) and a bit wild and scratchy and found in a hedge!

Her sister is Bramble.

looking forward to piccies.

Thanks for all the name suggestions.
I haven't quite got her - my car broke on Friday and it's at the Garage.
Anyhoo, she's arriving this afternoon!!! the cat protection league volunteer is bringing her down for me.
I'll try and post pics once she's settled down (and i've fathomed out how to post them)

Well, she's here safe and well.
Very timid, but is venturing our of her den for food, and comes out when my cats go up to the bars.
She hissed at the dog this morning, but on the hole she's been brilliant.
She even came to the bars and had a sniff of my finger - mind you my youngest cat was rubbing his face all over my hand at the time.

The shocker is that she is Millie Mark 2 in minature - my old girl came down to have a nosy and she is the spitting image of her, right down to the sharp spiky tufts at the tips of her ears. Same face shape and eyes, everything!!!

Milli true to form, pretended to be friendly, then reverted to type and hissed as she sauntered back out of the room.

I'll try and gets some pics after the weekend.

.

In that case how about "Tina" as in Mark 2 CorTINA!!!!! :D

Glad she has landed on her feet. My small black cat is called Dot - short of ink dot - small and black.

We also have a black cat that is so big, he requires both arms to pick him up - Fuzz Whizz is even bigger than Fuzz Nuts was, but a true gentle giant - the three girls all boss him about.

Thanks everyone - I have to say, I do quite like Taloolah :-)
It will not doubt take me a week or so, so she's Kitty for now.

She's been a bit fiesty this morning, and hissed at me and the dog.
Toby my middle cat has been the hero of the hour as she's been chatting to him through the bars.
She's much more relaxed when he's about too, and they both played with the same bit of string last night. She now meows at him when he comes in from outside, and does that purring greeting when she sees him - soooooo cute.

Needless to say, she's had to put up with the injustice of me touching her front paws this afternoon - wanted to see if she'd follow up the hissing with a bite (she didn't). And I only risked it as she's had the odd sniff of my finger and not tried to kill me.

She's a long way to go before I can handle her, but so far so good.

Huh, just because you have rescued her from an uncertain fate and taken her into a loving and kind home you expect her to let you TOUCH her, good god its an injustice alright, she is a cat and we all know cats are SPECIAL and far more important than a human being:D:D

I am employed by Catastrophe - Astro for short - if you don't give him a long enough rough up (I swear he thinks he's a dog) He will hook his paw around your ankle, no claws but determined pressure. I think he may be Burman x farmcat - grey beautiful green eyes and very vocal! Love him to bits.

They are funny!!!
I love all mine, Tony thinks he's a dog, that, or he thinks my lab is his mum..... she gets more fuss than me, and he kneads her tummy.
I've just posted another thread, as I had a breakthrough this morning.
Again, Toby and his star quality delivered a new kitty to me - she was purring, happy and letting me stroke her like you would a tame cat.
I'm so relieved, as she was going backwards and was getting very hissy whenever I opened the cage door.
I now have a way forward and think she'll be ok.
