The last few months have been lovely with no builders as the barn was finally finished, but now they are back...

They spent the last week going back and forth over my fields digging holes, leaving piles of mud everywhere. Taking down fencing and upsetting ponies. The good side is the post and rail fencing goes in tomorrow (Yey!!) and they took my muck heap away for me (another yey as was getting a little out of control

) But the mud is everywhere, my usually immaculate yard (yes I am obsessively tidy) is now beyond saving

The good news is once the fencing is up I get proper gates and then the yard/fields are completely finished

The bad news is we have an insane builder (called Bob) who likes digging holes wherever he goes

(worry I will find one of the ponies in one soon

Tell me its all worth it when its done!

Oh Hector, Id be ripping my hair out.

I had to chuckle though as your post conjoured up a vision of a manic builder with a spade randomly hacking away at your fields....

The mud will go and the grass will grow and in the summer when you are surveying your lovely yard it will all fade into a distant memory.

sounds like just what you need at the moment!

you know it'll all look fantastic when it's all done, just a case of putting up with the mess for a bit, for such a great result eventually.
i'd be following Bob around with a shovel, personally...

Bob runs a mile when he sees me, Im always moaning about the mess lol

I did walk out one morning and very nearly disappeared down a hole he had dug the day before, teach me to use the front door I suppose

edited to add: dont worry the holes arnt actually in the field the horses are in, he is digging up my lovely summer grazing I have been saving
