Tell me something amusing about your day! :)

.....a walk & she bounced sideways. After a few mo's of me hanging round her neck (think pentathlon rider going over fence round horses neck at Olympics) before I realised if I took feet out of stirrups could probs slip daintily to ground. So I did. Well probs not terribly daintily :embarassed:

Am now left wondering if this makes my new breeches lucky or not?!

Finally got round to clipping the pony this afternoon. It was all meant to come off but unfortunately the battery went flat half way through. So he has what looks like a really bad chaser clip with hairy armpits until I can finish him off tomorrow...

I took my mare out for a hack today and it was fab. I did get a face full of leaves though as she got a tad hyper and trotted under some trees and i had to attempt to miss them but failed :D Was an awesome ride though. Also, the yard is still in progess and the YO's OH has a big tractor type crane/forklift/scoop thingy. Me and the YO got in the bucket and he took us all the way up a couple of hundred ft in the air. It was terrifying but so cool at the same time, although the ponies were a bit confused when they saw us in the air :D

Well got to the yard looking forward to riding...

Walked down th field to find horsey pleased to see me... :cool:ummm how odd i thought. As i got closer he was literally caked in mud, even in his ears!!!!!!!!!!!! With the added bonus that he had ripped his new premier equine rug which is supposed to be 1680d and ballistic!!!!!!!!!!!

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I actually had to wash his head before even think about putting a bridle on him!!

Not horsy , but had me in stitches nonetheless .

Had to go to Morrisons today . Went round , got back to car with the shallow trolley . Unloaded it , went to the trolley park , pushed the trolley into line with all the other shallow trolleys , clipped the chain together, retrieved the token , started walking back to car . As I did so , I noticed a woman with a full size deep trolley waiting for me . She then shoves her trolley , into the back of my shallow one , tries to attach the chain, which then doesn't fit because the trolley's too damn big .

Then she does it again . And again . And again . Then , she decides to push it into the full sized trolley line instead .

She may just have caught me laughing like a drain .....

I decided that today was as good a day as any to start trying to teach Charle horse some manners when he's eating. He's 20 and a total grump with his food. So we had a bit of a stand off over a carrot..me pointing to his front leg saying sternly..NO! No carrot until you are nice .Him with his ears back glaring at me waving alternate front legs at me in a threatening way! Well I can glare too and magically make the carrot disappear behind my back until he asks nicely! Next time I'll eat the damn thing just to reach him a lesson..think I lost that round but tomorrow is another day..
Get well soon. :)

Thank you everyone! My evening was made so much better by you all! :D still hobbling around but no longer sulking about not going to the ball. all your stories are brilliant. :D xx

I clipped half my shetland with human clippers before I realised they weren't going to get through her greasy/woolly back end.

If it's mild again tomorrow she's having a bath, and we'll see how much more I can get off. Otherwise, she's going to look like a freak until I can get someone out to clip the rest off...

It must have been the day for bad clips, I just keep hoping the old saying is right the only difference between a bad clip and a good clip is a few days !!
I only clip my boys, and they are only done a couple of times a year so I am nooooo expert! Did Polo today, just praying the couple of days til the worst of it grows out goes quickly - and consoling myself with the fact it'll grow back in a few weeks and I'll be able to have another go!

Today I saw a man wearing a thong thrashing around in liquid mud!! Along with 2000 others who were wearing slightly more, including a banana, a couple of oompa loompas, some fairies and Father Christmas. All were trying their best to run 9 miles through the muddiest of mud.
