I know some of you on here aren’t fans of the racy working lab. If this is really a great show lab you are truly welcome to them.
A travesty and an insult to the breed.

The only thing that poor dog could do in the field is roll....poor dog and yes a travesty and insult to the breed, These show judges want a good slap with a wet fish for rewarding such awful conformation and breeding. IMHO all breeds shown should be able to work, I.e a Lab should show a decent retrieve instead of just prancing around a ring!!

Has a better quality of life than a brachy dog like the Bulldog.

exhibits A and B also from westminster best of breeds/best in show the latter having to sit on a cooling pad to have his photos taken.

The lack of quality/resolution on the lab pic bothers me, it's almost like a video still - I wonder if that is what is making the tail look odd, if it's moving.

Wow that's huge. It's got to be around 50kg?! There is no tuck at all and even the tail looks overweight. There is bound to be other people at those shows thinking that's what a Labrador should look like so will copy. I was upset when I let my pup go 0.6kg over her ideal weight (stupidly didn't change her diet when she was on 3 weeks rest)

I saw a couple of posts saying this bitch had had a litter a few months prior but even allowing for a bit of saggy booby undercarriage doesn't change the fat deposits on the neck, chest, shoulders and the overall complete lack of definition. She also didn't stand alone:

She has got a nice head and tail, I give her that.
I wonder if people see these show labs, and tbh the ones over here do well to wobble their way twice round the ring without stopping for a breather, and think what a lovely easy dog that is, all it wants to do is sleep.
Then get a monster like Ffee who requires endless walking and training every day just not to be a complete PITA! (And yes I know I make a rod for my own back, but I like long walks and training).
