Tell me what this is for?

As it says really on the ad, normally seen in the show ring has all the normal actions of a Pelham being used with 2 reins
 
It's a rugby pelham....popular in the show ring when a traditional double bridle can't be used (for whatever reason) . You use a slip head on the 'bradoon snaffle' rings to give the appearance of two bits being used, but the horse only has one mouthpiece to contend with.
 
Rugby pelhams have been superceded in the show ring by the show pelham. The bridoon ring isn't connected by a random metal link and gives you a more secure contact. Im not a fan of rugby pelhams.
