tell me what you think please

I tried to have a look but the reference you've given for your horse is not valid.

Just a couple of questions to ask about him - "will affilliate with ease" - he is 11, why hasn't he done so before? And being "placed first time out" - has he only been out a few times then? Why?

Doesn't seem to have done much for an 11 year old, but depends on what you're after

Ok that link works, the grey gelding looks fun, but my reservations would be why 'sad sale' if they want a swap? Also if he is an Arab (he doesn't look very arab like to me - he looks quite like my grey horse, although more held in) so if he is an Arab then in my admittedly limited experience then they aren't the greatest jumpers, ok so they do jump but that's not their best feature.

Sorry no further constructive comments from my camp

It depends if its favourite hobby is mud, dust and grime or not! But I fear by the look of that boy's mane I might know the answer to that!!

In your advert you say you want something bigger, but you are only going up 3 inches if you take the grey - plus with the difference between a Welsh D and an Arab you may not even feel the height difference. But, of course, you won't know until you go and try it.

Sorry but dont like the grey at all....i dont believe he would affiliate with ease looking at pictures...would need to see more

...sorry but if it were me i wouldnt consider swapping a young 6yr old for an 11yr old fleabitten grey that dosnt look that impressive???only my opinion of course

keep the mare

dont give her away as noone buying....she worth more than him...she is 6 and still learning

Hmm her ad is a bit odd isn't it. I wonder if she means that the arab would affiliate IF it had a decent rider? Perhaps that's why it's competition record is so limited.

I personally prefer the arab to the chestnut if I was buying as a general riding horse, however if looking for something to compete, I'd say keep looking. Sell your horse independantly and forget about the trade.

my mare is like that just runs towards the fences (she is a jumping pony) but she has done bsja and is now 18 so i dont think there isnt much chance os changing her lol

the thing is the rider is now scared of the pony as it is a fast jumping pony and bombs up to every jump it sees and we do not no how to correct it ,, tried a bounce gone back to strters poles on floor everything

obviously you have had everything checked??She is only 6,does she jump everything she is put at??or has she a dirty stop??if she loves her job and does it well maybe she needs a more confident rider???
smile.gif

no-one seeems to be able to ride lol.. had lots of viewings but people do not obviously listen to no novice ride had a ride 12 yr old about 5ft weighed about 6stone wet just come of shetland and wanted fran she came got on fran dug heels in and making noises to try and slow the pony down , then parents were like omg its too strong

awww i wish i could have another one she looks v nice. i think you should maybe go and see the other one but i do think your mare is the better one out of the two just my opinion though

i would suggest trying to find someone with the confidence...if she is that brave and bold i wouldnt give her away...with the right rider she will blossom...stay away from the grey though

My old chap in my siggie, is a Welsh D x Hackney and is 14.3 ... in his youth sounds just like your little Mare ... she sounds fantastic ..... perhaps a more confident small adult (like I did for my chap all those years ago

Hi, Don't want to sound patronizing, but do you have lessons with her? I have an ID sports horse who I had real problems slowing down, I have just affiliated her this year and have started having lessons with Joe Whitaker. I have found him to be an excellent teacher and I have learnt more in a few lessons than in past 20 years. PM me if you want his number. There stables aren't far from Westfield park.
If the speed is the only issue it seems a shame to get rid of her when schooling could correct it.
