Does anyone know of any insurance companies who do insurance on a month by month basis. My friend is wanting to lend her horse to someone for approx a month to compete riding club stuff and she would prefer he was insured.

Thanks

The NFU did this for me when I had a horse on LWAVTB I explained what I wanted covered and they quoted me a monthly price .
It was several years ago though and we have a lot if insurance with them .

I spoke to SEIS yesterday as we are considering taking a horse on a months trial and wasn't sure how to insure. They said they can do that, I would just pay premiums for the length of time insured. Just be warned that the first 14 (or 30 depending on insurer) doesn't cover for illness, only injury and colic surgery.

I have just taken out insurance with Petplan for a loan pony, I pay monthly and can cancel at any time, but like the previous poster has said you are not covered for the first 14 days.
