i have a pony who has cushings, she has one prascend tablet a day hidden in a piece of carrot. i feed her speedibeet, happy hoof and some hi fibre nuts along with her supplements - she has decided she does not like this anymore, she will pick out the pieces of banana i put in the feed and leave the rest, then clear up after my other pony who has alfafa and sugar beet. any ideas of what i can put in her feed to encourage her to eat it?she does not have much now just enough to put her supps in. thank you :)

When my pony was on antibiotics I soaked his speedibeet with peppermint tea, he loves it and eats the lot. Just chuck 4 or 5 peppermint teabags in a big jug and pour on about a litre of boiling water, leave to cool and use it like water.

Will he not just take the piece of carrot with the prascend from your hand like a titbit? I give my cushings pony her two tablets in a carrot from my hand first thing in the morning before she gets anything else and when she's hungry enough not to be picky! If he likes banana so much pop the prascend in a piece and feed as a titbit.

You could try pouring over warm water to make the feed warm. It sounds silly but it worked for my fussy feeder. You could also try swapping to fast fibre which is very similar to speedibeet but has added vitamins and minerals in it. Finally you could try adding mint.
