tempted would you ?

Wouldn't even pay £800 I don't think for one that needs restarting.

Unbroken and blank canvas, then possibly. Started and failed [if I'm reading right] then no. I'd offer £5-600 in that case.

If he doesn't have any issues and simply is just green and not done anything most the year, with no quirks or nothing gone wrong, then I'd offer the £800, possibly.

If he could get riding right, then he's a useful sort height and type wise. Not too cobby to be unappealing [most teenagers never want proper cobs I find] and seems more of a sporty cob type that could be more suited for competition/decent work etc. But, if it's a teenage audience he'd be aimed at buying, then you would either have to have him spot on temperament wise, or be willing to wait and find the right buyer when the time comes if he's slightly more sharp :)

not bought from a none traveller for a while nd usualy got "mate rates"

haha

so go in at £500 ish ? and see what they say to that wont be paying more than £800 if i go an have a look.

Thats what i was thinking take him hunting etc make a good teenager ride

Find out more what he has done and go with your gut when you see him. Ask for photos etc of stuff done previously. If there aren't any for evidence...I'd err with caution!

Not my cup of tea. Horses are plentiful and cheap at the moment.

This. I would question why a 7 year old who is pictures jumping reasonably well needs restarting...and in this current climate, a 7 year old of indiscriminate breeding who isnt able to be ridden away is worth pittence. Sorry.

very nice ;)

he is :)

Yeh that is thr risk, but if i can get him started he wont be worth a pittence its just do you take the risk on something older :)

Rileyboy you won't get the sale at that offer, coloureds aren't cheap down here, I'd go in at £750 at the lowest, although if you want to look at some good coloureds there are plenty of dealers that I would trust and who would do a good deal, not heard of that seller or that horse, but you certainly won't get it for anywhere near £500 knowing the prices down this way

He's lovely! I agree though, wouldn't pay nearly that much for him. Go in at £500

Oh dear i was well off

See thats the issue of buying off mates and travellers alot of ours are cheap as chips :) abit rusty.

If i go in low can barter up though, if you go in high cant go down . Thanks for the heads up

I only say err with the caution as currently have the most bombproof pony put on the planet [think can be ridden by disabled people off a lead line, but then can equally go and have a spin round XC or draghunting. That level of saintness.] who still hasn't sold at a price not that much more different to his current price :)

Of course with time put in, you'll be looking at from Spring time to sell at leasr I'm guessing, so the market may pick up by then, especially if he's going well :)

Depends if you are willing to risk a minimum of £800 on a horse who isnt right :)

I wish you luck whatever you choose. x

hm that is the other risk the bad market ! friends are sayin they are still selling bombproof plods but at that age doubt he will be a bombproof without a few issues.

Now, even more interesting and adding more fuel to the 'Rb is a troll' fire.... I have noticed that he and a regular user are never online at the same time..... This gets curiouser and curiouser. :D

As you were Hho detectives ;)

Yep you're right there, safe normally always sells, all our bombproof ones sell straight away most the time. Unfortunately for her, she's not a 'show pony'. She's a cob x native half hairy and 13.1hh. So the most awkward categorys all in one from a selling point! Which is a shame, as she's rocket proof. I don't think she's ugly, she's just chunky and not that refined. I'd take safety over looks when it came down to kids personally...but clearly not round here people think the same lol! ;)

Really ? You have nothin better than to accuse me of being a troll .... Yawn go on then who do you think it is ?

Hm do you think ? Thought £500 was cheeky

I thought we were giving opinions on a horse here?
Please just name your suspect and let's all move on :)
