Hello!

So, now me and the youngster are beginning to do a bit more, I'd really like some suggestions for tendon and fetlock boots. Never had to buy this sort of thing before, so would really appreciate the help! Cost isn't a huge issue - won't be getting them for a few weeks yet, there's no rush to buy them (need to save up, firstly :D), and I'd rather have something that I can keep using than have to replace them quickly! Although, it would be appreciated by my bank account if they're good quality and not extortionately expensive :p Obviously just going to be used for schooling over jumps, and then a few jumping competitions once we get there in a bit! Thanks all :) Have so far just been letting him go naked, the jumps haven't been big and he rarely touches the pole, but prevention is better than cure and I'd feel a lot better to have them there now we're starting to do more! xx

I like my tekna ones, you could mistake them for leather and they have worn and washed well :) ets I have the normal ones not the carbon ones

I have a set of the tekna one's and yes there good in price but they dont last - mine are wearing away on the edges (i dont really know how to explain :L) and i dont use them that often.

^^ How strange I use mine all the time and they are still fine a year and a half after I brought them. Theres a few scuffs on the inside but thats just normal wear and tear.

never had to shop for boots before! xx

Becareful, you'll get addicted! I have :D

If you're looking for a colourfull rnage then i'd go for norton pro boots, all sorts of colours, good quality and look nice but are affordable, i have these for everyday, they're great! I've had them for 6months and they still look brand new, very easy to wash and the elastic is strong so no problems with the elastic going saggy (mine hasn't changed since i bought them and i have done sj, xc, long hacks, mud, water etc) :

now for xc i use these (in black), they also look smart enough for competitions in my opinion:

Now these are in my ''affordable'' range but if yours is slightly higher then i'd reccomend Eskadron boots, look nice and are very good!

And like someone else said, if you budget is high then Clarendon is very good.
Just a hint, when buying boots for jumping make sure that when you buy the fetlock boots they're these sort:

they cover all the way round rather than the fetlock brushing boots which only really protect the inside of the fetlock and also i find they twist easily:

I hope this helps :) I love boots, if you haven't noticed yet :D Have about 5sets of tendon boots and 4 sets of fetlock boots for 1 horse! :D
