Please can anyone advise me of a decent pair of tendon boots for show jumping?
Years and years ago I show jumped a mare in leather tendon boots but more recently have only used brushing boots as horse is particularly careful and I didn't want him to be punished on the rare occasion he does hit a fence.
However, the new boy would benefit from some tendon boots for SJ and there are so many different types on the market these days a I have no idea which are best.
Thinking leather must offer the best strike protection, but how
Supple are they - do they allow the horse enough movement? Equally, plastic boots, are they likely to shatter if struck?
Any advice much appreciated.

I use the KM Elite Air Shocks and cannot rate them highly enough. They fit really well (flat school/hack in them for a few days first to 'loosen' them first for best results), offer fantastic protection and look really smart - I use mine at home and for competing and no matter how filthy I get them they always scrub up well!! :-)

Hope you had a nice holiday!!!!

Them acavallo ones I have for baz are brill! Had them for 3 yrs now! Have nice squishy gel inside them too.

Dead easy to clean too! Have a look on horse health website :)

I use NEW equine & Veredus boots. Both are fab and scrub up really well, and have always fitted my horses legs beautifully and protected against big knocks :)

CSO ones (from equestrian clearance) only £30 ish, look really sharp, and have a layer of gel for protection down the back

I have the Eskadron Pro-Safe Memo boots. They fit really nicely as they have memory foam inside which is nice and soft and moulds to any lumps/bumps they have.
