Hi - in sept my horse fell knocking me out ! whilst jumping and knocked leg. she was scanned and rested for 4 weeks and scanned again vet said although healing and repairing nicely he thinks sensible to keep off except for walking till jan. this way best possible chance of been 100% again. - but i have heard magnetic boots can help if left on her in stable - some are very expensive well £100.00 for 2 (veredus) just wondered before i go spend my last few remaining pennies if anyone knows if this will be usefull for her. ? It was very annoying as only bought her 3 weeks before fall ! typical x

After my mare had a tendon injury, albeit not torn or as bad as yours has suffered, she was off work for 5 weeks and brought back slowly. I used magnetic boots from Premier Equine and I found they did reduce the swelling when she was in for periods of time.

They were on sale recently for about £25 a pair. If you check their website you may be lucky.

Hi there, I have a pair of Bioflow Magnetic tendon wraps for my boy and was recommended them by my Farrier. George was retired from racing after a blown tendon, he has a very knobbly knee and a splint (plus his legs swell over night while stabled!) so I bought them more as a preventative, though his legs have never shown any sign of filling overnight anymore so they are definately doing something! Bioflow are apparently recognised by the BMJ for use in humans and I have heard that they are the best, Plus they are not as expensive as the ones you mentioned. I paid £52 online incl deivery. Sorry if I've waffled, hope your horse recovers sooner than later!

Bioflow magnets every time for everything! They work on the whole body even if not worn near to the problem. I have worn one for 10years now, not being a spring chicken anymore, and am still very active, riding, dancing, rambling.

They definately keep the circulation moving while the horse is at rest, (does not increase heart rate though), therefore keeping swelling and inflamation down and speeding the healing properties which are in the blood-flow round.

Personally i think hydrotherapy is better than magnetic therapy!

If there is a horse spa near you it is much better, it really aids healing process. Worked wonders on my boy who twisted his fetlock
