also in vets .my 18 yr old warmblood is lame near fore.vet pretty sure not abscess, navicular.thinks possibly tendon from messing in field.on bute and due to scan.will have full lameness exam if thats not confirmed.have a few dilemmas to consider.horse is a light hack following suspensory surgery on both hinds about 7 years ago.at her age would not subject her to anything too stressful or invasive.cost is also important she is insured but has lots of exclusions.feet not covered but tendons ligaments front legs would be.also keep her at home with a mini and daughters high maintenance horse.they are in at night out in the day but seperate fields and would be a nightmare to keep on box rest.vet has said she could have stable size paddock if needed.would you persevere .my worst mightmare would be to pts but i want to do the right thing for her.she is very gentle, kind tempered mare.could send daughters horse on livery but again cost and has taken her nearly a year to settle so not keen.sorry about waffling.today has been v emotional as daughter also got gcse results so some good news.any thoughts, advice, experiences very welcome
