Any one give any advise please.

My 8 year old ID gelding did a tendon & check ligament 7 weeks ago and has now gone lame. He has been on box rest and cold hosing twice a day, we started to walk out week 4 as vet suggested but then took him back at 5 weeks for a re-scan as the heat was still there and the swelling was up and down (which I would expect). Has anyone had this, the swelling is going down and the heat seems to be reducing but now he is v. lame. Any bright ideas?

adhesions are often cause this as bits stick together as they heal. They need gentle work to free them. Are you being advised to walk him out in hand for ten minutes twice a day?

My friend found long term MSM very useful for an identical injury on her horse. I buy MSM from cyte essentials really cheap compared to horse stuff. Feed 7 grams a day.

No vet said not too two weeks ago but he wasn't lame then. That is the bit that is baffaling me, why has he now gone very lame at week 7. Will phone vet on Tuesday and see what he says. Will give the msm ago though. Thanks
