im looking at the possibilty of buying a horse being sold due to her hock/s not being able to stand up to high level dressage as a result of a tendon sheath injury which has been operated on. has anyone had any experiences with this sort of injury? a lot of people have suggested that with careful management, and slow build up of work, she should be ok to do what i want her for - hacking, weekly lesson and some competing at prelim/novice level dressage. she had been working at medium level previously, and its that sort of hard work and pressure that her hocks cant take. any ideas?
