tentatively horse hunting

how easy to find & what would you expect to pay???
big horse - 16.3 - 17.1ish
mare or gelding - but must be able to live happily in a small mixed herd
adaptable re live out & stabled
schooled enough for unaff prelim & novice
safe in traffic - but doesnt need to be a plod - bit spooky/strong is fine - solo hacking not totally essential
NO jumping ability needed
12ish yrs old - but would go up to 14 for a proveable low mileage model

your thoughts pls

Personally, I think there should be plenty of horses available that tick all those boxes, pricewise, i would think between 3-4K, but i may be wrong, putting a price on a horse isnt one of my greatest abilities.
