Finished work over an hour late after sorting out a last minute issue.... was washing my hands in the bathroom and glanced in the mirror to see what I thought was an ink smudge under one eye. I rubbed at it.... and rubbed... and rubbed.... and finally realised that little Colin pup has given me a tiny black eye by head-butting me in his enthusiasm to say hello all the time ?

He really is a darling little boy who is SO happy to see you all the time! I just hope nobody notices it in a meeting tomorrow ?

Weirdly it doesn’t hurt at all....

He must be the only dog where his tail is as long as the rest of him ?

Im so sorry PP but I have giggled tremendously at that, mainly because I can just imagine it!!!! Honestly George is like a little tank isn’t he, I’ve never met a little dog so solid and determined ????

I shall count myself lucky that it was only small Colin this time!

I would have laughed at the time, but for the fact that he literally nearly knocked me out. I had to sit on the ground and saw black stars. I then went to meet a friend for a coffee with my eye protruding and taking on a lovely shade of deep red/purple. She thought it was hilarious! It was like having a cannonball fired at my face. I'm laughing now, but my god it hurt! So yes, do beware when loading George in he's pampered now though and sits up front with you doesn't he? So maybe he's able to get in off his own steam...

My terrier did exactly the same the other day...cue concerned looks at work as I tried to bluff the 'my dog gave me a black eye' chat!! He really did - built like a very small, hard missile...!!

I've had a black eye and a tooth knocked loose by a hardheaded enthusiastic terrier. I'd have her back in a heartbeat though if I could.
