Terrific Tweseldown!

Had Tweseldown 90 today as my big neds last 90 and it was another lovely early start of 3.30am again so did all the plaiting etc the night before. Never been to Tweseldown before and although I must say it is lovely there, nice courses, they could really do with investing in a couple of signs! there was not one sign of how to get there or where to park or where the xc was so ended up late and lost driving around lanes and then wandering around the showground trying to find everything! So ended up running pretty late and only having 10 mins dressage warm up but luckily pony is a star and did a reasonably nice dressage for 31. Then onto the sj! He can be very spooky with showjumps and he's never seen these particular jumps before so knew I was going to really have to ride. Had to ride very strongly but he jumped well but just had the back rail of 3 down as we got in a bit deep when he tried to stop. Then it was the fun part!! Quick change and down to xc, everything at tweseldown was very helpfully running on time and to number order which was fab! Danny is a complete xc machine so just flew round everything having a brilliant time although brakes and steering are severely lacking and ended up having to shout TURN TURN at him between 5 and 6 whilst having 2 hands on one rein :p he cruised round for a fab clear and i was very aware not to get tp again so kicked on a bit more and came in comfortably under the time and ended up 8th :D so very very pleased with him and now its back up to 100 at stratford hills next month!! no photos im afraid as i was on my own but heres one of him last night all plaited up :)

 
Well done that's a fab result! I have to say having only visited tweseldown once and that was with someone else in their lorry I can understand your frustration at signs!

Thank you very much! Yes the signs leave much to be desired!!!

Thank you :) you should see my plaits at the beginning of the season before i get back into plaiting! they are truly shocking lol.

Thank you :) he would have quite happily come out at 100 but vets orders to start at 90 so 90 it was (much to his disappointment lol)
