Have been meaning to update for a while now, but here goes
A couple of weeks ago I posted about how Chloe and I were terrorised by a group of local kids in our village (link to old post here:http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/foru...s=JH58&topic=&Search=true#Post2044809 ) After asking for advice on here I decided to report them to the police and I am glad I did. Have to say, I was SOOO impressed by Sussex Police, they took the incident very seriously after one of the beat officers rang me only a few hours after I reported it. As soon as they collected more details from me they were out of the door before I put the phone down, on a Saturday too! I didnt know the number of the house but as she knew the area so well from her patrols they knew exactly where I was talking about.
Glad I didnt go round there myself now, as a family who lived in that house matched the description (3 kids right ages) said they took their kids out that evening Grrr! So obviously it was them and they did not want to face up to their childrens behaviour anyway. The police still told them and all the parents in the area about the dangers of frightening horses and that they would be keeping a very close eye on the area in future. Hopefully that will be enough to frighten the pants off them and make it a safe place to ride.
Oh and anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation the police told me in future to dial 999! Even got to keep the mobile number of the local beat officer so that I can ring her directly if I have any more problems.
So, there you have it, they arent all bad! Yay for putting officers back on the beat again!
