Tesco Jods? What do we think?

My local Tesco has started stocking jods, they are quite cheap (£15ish) come in nice colours and feel soft to touch. Now, I haven't bought any yet, but was wondering is anyone else has and if they are any good? Do they last longer than 5 minutes and how do they wash?

I bought a pair a couple of weeks ago, and have been really impressed actually.

They are the heavy weight ones, so perhaps handle a bit better. But wash really well and are very comfy. Great for everyday riding I think.

But then most clothes do seem to be nowadays......
 
I have several pairs now and they are pretty good for the money, the one thing I have noticed is that they go at the crotch before anywhere else!

So aside from stitching up the odd draughty hole they aren't bad. The £15 ones are on the small and short side so go up a size if in doubt, the suedey ones are a bit more generous.
 
I love Tesco horsey clothes - beacuse I can buy kids...!!! Not had a pair of jods but everything else has lasted well. Won't wear decent horsey clothes to the yard at the mo, I get chewed by foalies.

The 12 and the 14 appear to be exactly the same size-bizarre. Both too long in the leg but fabric is quite nice. I wont shop at evil empire tesco but someone bought me them

The catch to do my jods up went PING and shot across the bathroom.
But they are dead comfy to wear and look quite smart.
They look really nice with a black belt as well.
 
Personally I wouldnt buy anything from Tesco out of principle, let alone horsey items - they've already ousted all the local green grocers, and now they're starting on tack shops! Wahey, way to go Tesco!
 
I agree, I use an eco food cooperative (dry goods and wholefoods, we buy in bulk so get much higher quality than the supermarket for the same or less ££, meet up once a month to pick up), veggie box scheme (they grow everything and its 4 hours from picking to my plate and deliver to the door) and local farm for meat.

And in total it costs me less than Tesco as I dont spend hours wandering around filling an enormous trolley with crappy food I throw away or weird stuff I dont need!!
 
I like to back local tackshops as it would be a shame if they went out of business. I coudnt imagine staff at Tescos telling you what and when to worm your horse.
I am guilty of once buying a cheap bridle from Tescos which has lasted ok!!! I wouldnt do this again id rather spend more money on something that could last wayyyyy longer.

Go to your local tackshop they shouldnt be much more money!!!!!!!!!!!!!
