Tesco direct have got upto 25% off rugs at the moment - there is a cheapie stable rug and rain sheet that look ok - just wondering how they come up size wise and if the quality is alright? Anyone had any experiences? Cheers.
I've got a LW turnout from last summer, it's still in great condition, and she stayed dry under it when it poured down this Monday. In fact I was wetter than her just from fetching her from the field. I think they're great quality for the price.
I got a thin turnout rug last summer but found it leaked in very heavy rain, have yet to try it with another dollop of proofer so won't condemn it yet as it was only £17, the price of a wash and reproof in some places!
On the other hand the indoor rugs and fly sheets see really good value for money, have a double thickness fleece and have used it to death. Friend bought a fly rug and this too was very good VFM.
Thanks all, they sound fine and I like the thought of them having big necks because my mare is very ample in that area! Think the stable rug looks a defo - it's even got darts and a tail flap. The one I have now was a tenner more (Masta) and it's really basic and quite restricting round the shoulders. Last time I bought from Tesco (sale of course!)I used my vouchers that come through the post from time to time and ended up getting a pair of jods for £7, great quality too!! They sent them to the nearest big Tesco which husband passes on way from work so got away with paying postage too. V pleased!!
