went to tesco today, i got some new haynets,£1.25 each in sale, a new head collar £2.50. what a bargain, just looked on their website and they have got a few things half price.

I got some sexy pink hi viz brushing boots for Bear the other day reduced to £4.20! Just because the packet had been opened!

He wasn't amused when I put them on him on Sunday and we met up with his girlfriends lol!

LOL I got some bright pink kids jods last year for £8, and I have that bathing brush thing! Its wicked!!!

just dont moan when your local tackshop or saddlery goes the way of everything else and closes!!

It's the customers who close down the little stores, not the big stores......customers vote with their feet and I don't know many people who are prepared spend more money out of sentiment for a small store....it is the 21st century!

to be honest a supermarket will not get the top brands, the likes of Musto, Mountain Horse and Toggi are not going to risk their profit margin and image by allowing Tescos to discount them - a big country store with the top of the range brands doesnt really have much to worry about as far as tescos are concerned.
the local tack shop will probably not have an account with the big guys anyway and has everything to loose - a sad fact of modern world, but Ebay will get them if Tescos doesnt

Our local Tack Shop DID have accounts with all of these big guys, it was fantastic. Sadly, the likes if Lidle, Tesco etc took away the bread-and-butter stuff, along with Ebay, and they closed. This was a one-off shop that stocked - or could get -almost anything anyone could ever want. When they closed they had £450, 000 of stock, and the biggest range of goods I have seen in one shop ever (including online stores)
When you need help with fitting etc, sorry, but yes, the customers voted with their feet, and shot themselves in the foot!!

You don't know my ''little'' local tack shop!!
Its far from little, they earn mega money, I used to work there and there isn't many places about here that employ qualified body protector/hat fitters, I used to fit at least 2 or 3 hats a day... Even more at weekends.I still buy my food/wormers/tack/hats/brushes/coats/rugs in there and much much more!!!
