I agree, sorry folks but don't have the time to bugger about on my days off supporting the local farmers markets/corner shops however nice an idea that may be.
I work shifts and have to shop in my dressing gown and slippers at weird times of the day and night (on line of course!). I don't want to rub shoulders with people who've got all bleeding day to block the aisles and fart about parking with noisy rug rats in tow when I've been on nights.
OK, so they sell meat in false-bottomed containers but have found their equestrian stuff to be damn fine VFM, especially when it's end of line. Have a fleece rug that's been used to death this summer for 17 quid and don't care where it came from, it kept somebody in a job and fed their family so there!
The fleece I bought was excellent in always fit and quality!
I bought several tail bandages and they are rubbish made from cheap nylon ....one swish of the tail and they are off..
I am with the local support on this one paying a few extra pounds keeps local buisness going and I also love browsing!!!
I have no problem about buying from Tescos. The coffee in the conference centre that I have been fro 2 days was "fair trade", but I didn't drink it because of that. I drank it because it was free!
The advantage of products made by sweatshop labour is that you never have to worry about getting a poor quality "Friday afternoon" one ;-)
