I have 3 ponies and two stables. Pretty soon I am going to start bringing in in the day when the grass gets going. My stables are in the farm yard and horses in cant see horses out, and vice versa. One pony is a very elderly lady who hates being in or left on her own. My question is, do you think it's ok to tether her in the farm yard on a patch of grass near the stables? She originates from the gypsys so I'm pretty sure she's been tethered before and I can't imagine her being silly. She would then go back out with the others in the field at night.
Where do you purchase tethering things from?

I don't see the issue with it aslong as you make sure she has water and checked on to make sure she doesn't get tangled throughout the day :)

No, I really don't like it. There are a lot of tethered ponies and horses near us and we frequently have to unravel the ropes when they have got twisted around their legs. This is despite the checks the owners do daily.

Would it be possible for you to section the grass with electric fencing instead ?
