The only reason I went there is that they were the only Vet's I could find that had a price list online, as my Mummy paid for Otto's Injections (spoilt brat that I am
) and I needed to know how much they were going to be beforehand.
Cos we used to go to them and stopped because they were so bl**dy expensive
Also wasnt impressed hugely with the knowledge of their vets, they did have a good one who treated our whippet when she had a nasal tumour (so that was a good few years ago!) but then he left and at that time the others were pretty rubbish
God, that must have been 10 years ago now mind you
Just had a look at my bill, sedation was £43, 1st x ray £40, subsequent x rays £17 each. Suddenly I like my vets
They also didn't charge a referral to the eye specialist for Buffy, which I was warned to expect
Like you though I would pay more because my vets are great and they give me loads of advice over the phone, and don't discount me as a neurotic owner even if I am being one
The Vet we saw for this was fab, really nice bloke and brilliant with Otto, I think the bill would have been a heck of alot more if we hadn't seen him.
We have switched to the practice he works at and cross our fingers there are no more huge bills on the horizon!
I think that is closer to what the bill would have been had I gone to see the Vet I spoke to on the phone, he wanted to go straight in do x-rays on his whole body and then operate straight away to get them out!
If I had a Vet's Boll like that I would have literally dropped down dead on the practice floor, they would have had to charge extra for Body Disposal
