Thank you for you congrats. Yes Rafi was amazing yesterday and was only beaten by Lucy Pincus [ who won the class overall beating all the open horses as well]
This was the start of the day
and this was the end
I have a video off my phone of his trot music which will take a while to upload.
We dug the lorry out and cleared the hill to the main road and off we went . Settled him into his stable and met up with Jlav ,Jane and Alison from Dressage deluxe. I got into a panic when I saw Paul Friday's music refuse to play and they had to go and get a spare . I went off to do the same and found his nov. and elem and all they said was 'spare' I had no idea which was which and couldn't find anyone with a cd to use. So just crossed my fingers. We got chatting to lots of lovely people with amazing horses.
It was soon Rafi's turn and as he has been a bit silly about judges boxes lately , Claire decided not to go too far down the arena to halt. That put her out slightly with her music but he behaved beautifully and she was very pleased. His score went up and I think he got about 69%. He finished up 2nd and qualified. We had a meal while watching the PSG music and finished Rafi off and went to the travel lodge and even managed to see who killed Archie,lol.
This morning we got up at 6 and went back to Rafi , he had an early time 5th in out of 37 starters. Gareth Hughes [ who teaches Claire] arrived to help someone else but they weren't quite ready so Gareth helped Claire for a short while which really calms her nerves. Rafi di one of the best tests I have seen him do and we were thrilled, the score went up and we were very disappointed with 65.35% but he was in the lead. The scores carried on going up and he was still in the lead up to half way . Then someone got 66%. That was ok 3 were going to qualify, then someone got 65.90 and there were still about 10 to go. Our hearts were in our mouth every time a score went up but finally we found he had done it . Prize giving was at 4pm. So proud of them both . He has 5 classes now at winters [2 spillers , music , nov, and elem petplan] There isn't a more generous horse.
