HE'S HOME. ARCHIE IS HOME. YAY!

Thank you all so very much for your get well wishes and pm's of support and wanting regular updates since Archie got his bad eye.

Almost three weeks after getting his ulcer and just over two weeks since he went into horsepital he arrived home this afternoon, ulcer free. His eye is partially closed still due to the intervention it received and is still watery but the vets assured me the ulcer has gone.

He loaded both on the way there and on the way home today first time, not bad after an absence of loading of almost seven years.

He is settled in his stable tonight, eating, drinking and happy. He is still on bute and he is due another check up on Wednesday.

I am just so pleased to have him home :)
 
Fantastic, so glad. What is the prognosis? Is his sight now ok or is it early days still to tell?

But glad he is back. They are such a blooming worry and probably dont know it!
 
Sooooooooooo glad Archie is home and on the mend - I was really worried for you both. Can you put some piccies of the lad himself on when he's feeling better ? sm xx

I was wondering this morning if id missed an update.

My boy had an ulcer at pretty much the same time as your boy, hes now fully recovered as well.

Really glad your boy is back home, with no lasting problems.

Big hugs for the brave boy !
 
Having gone through a much more minor ill horse scenario today myself that is lovely to hear that Archie and his eye will be OK :) Bet there's been a few hugs in his stable, must be lovely when they come home.
