Thank you Mr Policemen

A little thank you to the police men who whilst out hacking earlier turned off their lights, sirens and slowed down as they passed me and a few friends.

The horse I've started sharing is an especially spooky one so it was much appreciated!

Pointless post really but in case any one who reads this is a police officer/ambulance/fire engine driver I just wanted to say thanks!

I would let your local police station know, just so they know we appreciate them slowing down. It hopefully may get fed back to the actual policemen. They don't get a lot of nice things said to them in their line of work..!

I had one the other week. I was on an A road, 40mph limit.
Could hear it before I saw it. Put horse on pavement, turned her to face the car and it whizzed past without slowing but they were waving at me .
I was fine with that, they could see the horse was stood quietly and I was glad I hadn't slowed them down. I could in reality have kept on riding and she wouldn't have fussed but I didn't want them to slow unnecessarily.

It's a shame that some drivers are unable to read a situation so well.
