I am crying for you both as I read this, such a tragic and sudden loss. I don't know what to say as I can only imagine how you must feel. Makes you realise how fragile that thread of live is, George for one will be getting an extra big cuddle today.

So desperately sorry to hear this. And as a mum you will be feeling her pain and feel powerless to help. At least Phantom is not in pain now. Sending you both huge hugs. x
 
OMG, I am so sorry for you and your daughter. What a terrible loss, you both must be absolutly devastated.

Although short, he had the best life he could wish for and hopfully knowing you gave him that will give you some comfort.

Jane and rachel am so sorry he was a very handsome young man.

Rachel I know how hard it is losing your pony, I lost my best friend willie only a few months ago he was my world. It feels like your worlds crashing down round you all I can say is remember the good times together, it might not feel like it right now but it dose get slowly easier to live with bit by bit day by day. Which I guess you both can't really see right now but it will.

I really feel for you. We lost one the same way at the beginning of January. He was a loan & was due to go back first weekend in Jan due to problems at the yard. Then he fell ill New Years Eve. Vet wasn't sure what was wrong as symptoms were contradictory & he wasn't a good traveller to take to hospital. On the Friday we had to have him put down (with the owners knowledge) as he was going down so fast. You could see he had lost more weight every time you looked at him & he was dripping with sweat. It was devastating seeing a horse go from lovely to a coat rack in a couple of days. We had been for a lovely hack on the 30th & had the last 2 hacks all planned out. His poor owner didn't even get a chance to say goodbye as we all worried it might be something catching.
 
Just to say how sorry I am to hear this and such a shock. I had a very similar thing with one of my cats - just came home to find her collapsed and she was fine when I left for work.

Sending a hug to you and Rachel and I hope you will later be able to remember the good times and not this.
 
What an absolute nightmare for you and Rachel. I bet it's to do with the floods and heavy rain, goodness knows what has been washed down. I hope you get some answers. So sorry to hear this. RIP Phantom.

Oh Jane, I've only just seen this. Absolutely tragic!! I totally gutted for you!! My heart goes out to you and Rachel. Huge hugs to both of you!! I'm so terribly sorry!
