90kph winds and driving rain put paid to my hunting plans (yes, I'm a wuss but there was no way I was taking green horse out first time in that!)
Did go watch the die-hard maniacs that did go though with a friend and we had a lovely time (in her jeep!) She got some lovely pics that I'll upload later.
Glad I didn't go though - they were drowned, the field got split, plenty of lost shoes, bleeding & runaway horses and fallers Chaotic!
They did have a fab day though, saw to several foxes with a lot of jumping and the last covert put up a Stag which gave them a 14-15mile point in a very fast hour or so until they lost the Stag in the dusk and gave it best. Brilliant hunting in it's truest form - they were crossing country as it came and by all accounts had a wild time
I'll be trying again next week though hope I have a day like that (but without the gales!)
