I wanted a gift for my trainer Jan to say a big thanks for the excellent basis training he gave Vardi as well as thanking him for all his support through the rather rough last couple of months.

I decided to get one of the photo's I have of jan riding Vardi made into a colored drawing, to frame up and give to him, I particularly wanted one of him being ridden western as it is very doubtful he will ever be ridden like this again and I wanted a reminder of just what he was capable of.

So huge thanks to the very talented PF who has managed to capture them both perfectly, I can't wait for it to arrive so I can get it framed and give it to Jan....I suspect there will be tears.

Oh thats brilliant! I have wanted to get one of my mare fo a while - I knew PF has some pic's in the siggi - but didnt know!

Any website someone can PM me with the detials of please! :)
Oh - and do Drawings come with a free banana stick?!!? ;)
 
Amazing drawing PF is very talented, and what a lovely present to give someone. :)

I'm currently saving up and hope for her to do one of Koko but every time I save a bit I spend it :o

Yes that is what I love about it:-) You really get a sense of Vardi being totally locked on to what jan is asking him.

Super talented lady she has even managed to capture the scarring on his hip.

Dafthoss - Yes I will be able to ride him in a Western Saddle but not to the level that Jan was training him to and certainly not to the same degree of skill:-)) so it is really nice to have a reminder of just what he was capable of and the potential we knew he had once he is my wonderful laid back happy hacker;-))
 
What a lovely gift :) PF is very clever. It helps that Vardi is phptogenic of course!

How is he getting on in Blighty? Any progress updates?

Apparently he has discovered Mud and his inner Hippo lol, they wondered where he had gone on Thursday morning as they had 3 bays in the paddock! :-)))

Wow! What a talent. It always amazes me how people can paint so well. I would love my horses done. Just need to save some pennies after all our recent expenditure.
