For all your kinds words to Blackhawk over the loss of jasper as her best friend i can honestly say i have never seen anybody so devastated by the loss of a horse.
I spoke to her yesterday just after he had been taken away and we both could do nothing but cry,and i have just hung the phone up from her now and she is still as upset but she is thinking things over more clearly now she is just pleased her and her OH were there when he went to sleep.

She was a wonderful mum to him when she first got him he was less than willing to be loved alot of us told her to give him back ect,but she proved us wrong he changed into one of the nicest most loving horses i have ever known.
Granted he could be a misarable so and so every now and again but he was a charector and always made us laugh.

I will miss him lots and its killing me to see my best friend go through this,she is the nicest girl in the world and i love her to death.

Please give her hug from me, I lost Stinkerstonker the same way, only there were no goodbyes and I know every emotion she is going through. Tell her, although she won't believe it now, but time does heal and leave us with wonderful memories.
 
I will give her a huge hug from everyone im going to try get down next week to see them,to be honest all of us who knew jasper on a personal basis are all devastated obviously not to the level of nic.

Her and her OH are planning on toasting to him at the wedding next month though she was just telling me.Which i think is the biggest tribute he could ever have he was so loved.
 
She made his last couple of years happy ones, and made such an improvement from when he got so thin, she really must have put a lot of time and effort in.

I would be a shame if she gave that up, and somewhere out there is another horse for her that needs the same care and attention, and I'm sure it will find its way to her.

He may have only been with her a relatively short time, but I bet he taught her a lot and I'm sure he felt much more secure and happy than he had for a long time.

Pass on some big hugs from me please, and I hope she's OK.

I will pass your messages on,i think she may give it up for a while i did when i lost ammeretti to the same thing it broke my heart which is why i can feel it so much for her too.
 
Marmite will you please send my love to BH.And tell her we are all here for her.Jasper couldent of asked for a nicer owner.He is up in the H&H meadow playing with all the other horses and ponies that have passed on.Thanks.
