I just wanted to say 'thankyou' to everyone who comes on here and takes the time to answer posts and give advice.......
I have a young/green horse I bought last September...I knew he had certain 'issues' when I bought him, and I knew it would take me a while to get things sorted. I'm far far further on with him than I would have thought possible last Autumn.
I would never have had the confidence to go ahead and buy him if I hadn't been a member of this forum.....I'm lucky enough to have my own little yard now, so although I still have my horsey friends I don't have those daily 'what do you think' chats with different people. The information and advice freely given on here has helped me enormously.....most of the advice I've taken has been from threads other people have posted but which have been relevent to me....
Yesterday.....I brought my horse in, groomed, tacked up and mounted at first attempt- this took 15 minutes in all. Compared to 2 hours when I got him
I schooled him....and after 15 minutes we were no longer going around like a demented giraffe.....we had a loose relaxed walk with a nice contact and plenty of stretching. This may not seem like a big deal....but really- to me this is a massive achievement and I really don't think I would have got this far without you all........
So anyway...the sun is shining.....its Pimm's O'clock.... Cheers to you all!
