So she rides the whole length of the building, regardless of people opening doors, leading horses out, pushing barrows, chucking rugs about and doing other yard related stuff. Why, oh why, can't she do what everyone else does, and get off at the door and lead it down to her stable??? She's been asked, but it makes no difference .... GAH!!
I'd say that she is way more considerate of other barn members than those who are "opening doors, leading horses out, pushing barrows, chucking rugs about ..." regardless of others but I'm guessing that this OK with you all because everyone else is "opening doors, leading horses out, pushing barrows, chucking rugs about ..."

.... well ... this was a question about people who do annoying things generally, not especially about the rights and wrongs of riding inside a crowded barn, where other folks are trying to get on with sorting their horses and doing horsey chores ... but hey .....

Some yards have rules about where liveries mount and dismount. I occasionally spend time on a BHS Training Yard and this is certainly true there, you wouldn't be allowed to just ride-up to "your" stable, this wouldn't be acceptable as this could well be a H&S risk as it could easily unsettle other horses. There are also rules on that yard for stuff like dress code as well as for when hard-hats & boots, and body protectors should be worn.

You say this livery has "been told" not to do this?? By whom?? Was it the YO?YM? Because if this is the case, then you need to go back to them and say that their instructions are being contravened.

But that's the thing, when you're on a shared yard you have to just accept that other people do 'annoying' things that you wouldn't. I probably do things that annoy someone else and you probably do things that grate on other people too ;)

If its not breaking any yard rules, then live and let live. If its breaking yard rules, let the YO or YM deal with it.

I find that annoying too OP. On a previous yard, which was a narrow barn with support posts down the middle of the walkway, one person insisted on riding along it to her stable.

There is always (at least!) that one person that does as they please when they please. Common sense is not that common and apparently if every avenue is not covered by a rule then everyone can be free to do as they wish.

Fortunately I'm not stabled in a barn like that but I have a lot better control when riding, when he never thinks about mischief than leading when he has his greedy eye on every haynet or feed bucket he passes.

OP asked if anyone found any other liveries annoying. Surely someone must have some comments other than debating the good bad or ugly of riding up an aisle?

What else gets your goat?

PS I don't really mind about the lady who leaves her poo picker so my horse can send it flying. She is aware that I've warned her it might get broken so at least I won't have to pay if it does and it gives him something to do.

I do but I prefer to leave my annoyances at the yard. If they come home with me then I keep them private. I choose, and it's not always easy, not to relive them at home, on social media incl this forum and prolong my annoyance, upset etc. Some days it would be oh so easy to sound off on here so I stay away and keep my fingers under strict control. It really isn't that easy but there is so much hate, annoyance, intolerance, sadness, bad news in every day life that I work very hard not to get caught up in it and spiral downwards.

My pet peeve is judgey liveries who’d rather gang up and ostracise others than live and let live. Makes me so thankful to have my horses at home and away from the unnecessary drama.

Really, I find every livery that's not the equine sort rather irritating. I go to the yard to see horses not humans ;)
This. I find most humans annoying sometimes. This is why I’m not on a yard and most days see no other human, apart from family. I see my friend who’s yard is next door about once a week as she’s as antisocial as me ?

I can find many 'annoying livery traits' but probably not riding to stable through barn one of them...
Dropping muck from over full barrow onto swept yard and not cleaning it up =number one
Not turning up at organised time to get horse in, so staff have to before it goes bananas = possible number two
Leaving gate open / lights on / tack room unlocked (last man standing rule not working)
Parking trailer/lorry in the most unsuitable place for loading/unloading and leaving it there for a while....
A top trait actually is leaving empty haynets randomly floating about in the yard....... no, it's liveries who let their dogs poo, and they don't pick up!

Not liveries, but other riders at the centre...

There are taps along the stable blocks, and we're expected to wash the bit before having up the bridle in the tack room...

And there are people who don't look along the block to see if there's a grooming bag that's going to get wet when the water runs along the gutter to the drain...

Why does anyone leave a grooming bag in a gutter? Oh hang on that must be someone who expects someone else to look after their belongings rather than being responsible themselves

Leaving aside the specifics of any of the posts here, I am sure we are all both the annoying livery and annoyed by other annoying liveries! . Here we are 2 days before Xmas, and there's a lot to worry about, Covid, general tiredness, darkness, mud, horses with the winter wigglies, not enough hours in the day, the bloody weather, (if you've not seen a mid range forecast, do yourself a favour and don't look), Other people may have their own unique set of worries on top of these, so I think it's natural to occasionally lapse into annoyance and, on the days when it's clear you are the annoyance, that is also not fun. Hopefully as the days get longer the annoying times will pass! :)

The gutter is very shallow, there's not much space to place a bag anywhere that wouldn't hinder movement along the path... I've thought this through a lot, trying to find a good place to leave my bag and in the end I've found that the least bad place is the nearest tack room.

But before washing a bit at the tap, I look along the line and if there's stuff that will get wet, then I move it out danger.
