That taught me a lesson!!!!

I've had my pony for nearly 3 years and have never had a problem catching him......until tonight!!!!

I didn't make sure the gate was shut as he was out on his own and for some reason when he saw me coming he ran around me and then cantered down to the gate. I slowly followed and waited until he started grazing again and tried again to catch him but no off he went again this time through the gate. Well I was now worried as the track leads on to a road and off he toddled down the track. He stopped at the bottom by the raod and looked for cars!!! Then trotted off to the yard which is only a few yards away. YO heard me shouting for help as I was worried he'd get hit by a car. Luckily there are roadworks going on nearby and traffic is lighter than normal so he got to yard unscathed. YO grabbed him by his mane and waited for me to appear. On seeing me pony took off around yard with YO still attached!!! Never seen him move so fast!!!

. Still don't know what it was all about but pony is safely installed in stable and YO hopeful installed at home recovering. Won't ever take him for granted again!!!!

My pony regularly plays catch me if u can. It seems everyone's normally quiet horses are monsters atm!!

YO was fine about it. We were all in fits of laughter, partly because it is so out of character and partly relief. He is usually so very quite and laid back!! I was just worried he'd get hit along the short bit of road between field and yard.
 
LOL, mine two played up today when i went to catch them, they both cantered up to me at the gate, and then turned around and cantered off again, i decided to walk back to the gate, and leave them to it, they bombed back up the field to me when they thought i was going to leave them and miss out on dinner.
 
lol he was so funny,i had visions of g being dragged along the floor,he always seems to be around at the rite time the same as when he grabbed manny that day he bombed across the yard and was about to jump the gate when you went out for a ride !!!
