Put my little coblet (not quite 3yo) in school and made tiny jumping lane with two jumps of 1ft and 1ft 6". He has never jumped before. He did them really well THEN..........carried on and jumped the 4ft 5 bar gate at the end from a trot! I was horrified, his poor legs! He got his front half over and sort of dragged his hind legs over. He seemed perfectly ok and not in the slightest bit bothered. Don't know if I will be trying that again!

One of my ponies did that a few weeks ago, but didnt quite clear the gate and had to drag himself off backwards - thankfully he was fine, but I was standing the other side of the gate, got knocked over backwards and ended up with concussion!

My old one always jumped out so we gave up loose scholling him. But if you turned him out in the field next door and there were jumps in the school he'd jump in and have a play around.
