How can sleeping overnight in the box and stabling one horse one night take so much effort?
I seem to have worked non stop today loading, sorting out box stuff etc and am now really tired. Perhaps it's my age but for the first time I thought "Why am I doing this?" "Do I really want to spend my weekend sleeping in a cold draughty horsebox?"
CCj has also done various things, ridden the horse, sorted the horse section out etc but she still has her tack to clean (two sets) her boots to clean, her horse to groom etc and tomorrow before we leave she has to plait him and wash his tail.
We aren't on until late (4.58pm) but we have to be at the vet clinic in the morning to be shown the set up before they close for the weekend.
It hasn't helped knowing my mother in law is coming to stay early next week and the house is in a state of utter chaos, with floorboards being sanded above me as I type.. (deafening noise plus dust dropping on me!)
After feeling quite excited I now have sort of lost enthusiasm for this event, probably because I feel so tired.
Two more things to wash (travel boots and some comp. boots) and then I can sink into a hot scented bath.
Do you think anyone would notice if I quietly slept through the whole competition and got woken up just to drive home?
