Can't be doing with the nasty side of the horse world any more, I'm far too soft with people and they take me for a mug. Well, unless there's an eccentric millionaire on here who wants to give me some money for my own land, I'm giving up before I make even more of a fool of myself.
Pity it's come to this after having horses for the past 20 years and they're my only hobby.

Why should you give up your hobby because of other people!.Please dont take this the wrong way but people take advantage of us because we let them!!.I went through a similar thing when i was treated like a prat because i was too soft and they knew it,so i got tough and stood my ground with people who thought i was only there for their benefit,It's amazing how saying no to a few of them told them i wasent going to be used anymore and they now respect me!.

It's a bit late to say 'no' to some things that are bothering me and in order to keep my horses I have to put up with other things. I will bare that in mind in the future though.
Sorry, just needed to bash the computer keys with frustration.

No....don't give up. That's the wonderful world of horses for you. Full of lots of well meaning folk, but for everyone of them there's at least another 3 that's not so nice, or, have to say...........

down right rude, ignorant. Won't go on.

Don't know your circumstances, but think about what you could change that could make a difference without having to pack it all in. Don't let the b******s grind you down. Certainly don't let them win !!!!

Think positive, it can be hard, but it's worth it.

That's obviously the mistake I've made, I can see that now and I just wish I realised sooner.

I had major problems at yards and due to being soft myself and never really being able to say no in the end it did me no good and I just moved on to rent a field by myself....works brilliantly...I dont have any hassle, dont have any other horses kicking or biting at my horses and can do what I like, when I like...
dont let people put you off...it is your hobby and it is something you enjoy...have a go and move to a seperate field for just yourself...

It's never too late. Move fields, move yards or whatever's needed to get around the issue.

I know how you feel, but don't give up - there's always light at the end of the tunnel. I've been taken advantage of so many times because I am so soft, but eventually people go too far and you do put a stop to it. I always try to give people a fair go, because someone gave me a chance once and I appreciated it. But some people just can't seem to help themselves and take the p*ss. Just chalk it up to experience and move on.
