That's just yuk - horse eating its own droppings!!

Now I'm all for a bit of help with the poo-picking, but my new mare was following me round, and picking poo out of the barrow and eating it.... bleugh.
She's a perfectly healthy weight, and in a field full of grass, and this isn't an isolated incedent, she has done it a few times.
Anyone else's horse done this, and should I be concerned that her diet may be missing something??? Horses are out 24/7 with pretty good grass and no additional feed.

Normally means something is lacking in diet or boredom. A good quality salt lick would solve both problems.
