Just been to consultant for a check on my back. He has confirmed that this is about as good as its gonna get.:(
So I guess I have just gotta get on with it and keep taking the pain killers!

Only problem is, I cant mix them with a glass of wine! (or at least I shouldnt!):rolleyes::eek::rolleyes::eek:

Guessing that isn't what you wanted to hear. No idea of your injury, but is it something that while not being fixed, could be helped with some alternative therapy - mc tim / bowen / accupuncture type thing for helping with pain and relaxation of the muscles involved?
Sure there are more options of pain killers - maybe chat with your dr about a diff type if they are for the long haul. Little things like not being able to have a drink can just be a bit of a bind long term as you don't need extra reminders that you are on the tabs. Anything that helps remove any apparent differences can really help your head deal with it I think.

Ditto ThePony.

And sending gentle hugs.

Try a mix of things. I've found combining the advice from the physio and the advice from Lindsay Wilcox-Reid Equipliates works well for me :). I'm in the process of re-arranging my posture and how I move/do things, which is definitely helping.

Well he kinda said it last time I saw him, so not too much of a surprise. I do have accupuncture, physio, heat pads, electric blanket (cuddly toy, fondue set...) the list goes on!
But although its still painful, I feel quite settled on the patches I am on now, but maybe could do with the next dose up!

Poor you I'm sorry you didn't get better news :(
They could be wrong, I know it's not the same but when I broke my hip they told me the bone wouldn't heal and they would have to replace the hip. I realy didn't want a hip replacement at only 25 so I begged them to give the bone a chance to heal. They reluctantly agreed to put pins and plates in but said they would prob have to do a replacement as it wouldn't work. But it did heal :) (although I still get pain and sometimes wonder if a replacement would have been easyer in the short term :o )
I hope Donavan is being a good boy and looking after you, although you always have us lot if you need us ;) :p :)
((((((((((hugs)))))))))) to you. xx

I told him off last night on the way to the field. He waited til we were next to a huge muddy horrid puddle, and stomped in it! i was covered from head to foot! Literally! And he stood there with a look on his face as though to say, that'll teach you for telling me off!!!! Little sod!
