Hi all,

I have been lurking for ages as it has taken a while to get used to the new forum! And I have become very lazy and only check the first page of posts as my computer has become soooooooooooooo slow since the changover. So I hope I haven't missed any posts about this!

So, June 12th is not so far away and I was just wondering if we are still going ahead with the meet up and if I am still hosting? (More than happy to).

Plus for any of you local people who don't venture too far out of AAD we have got a free Gastric Ulcer evening happening on May 27th so please check out the website for more details or pm me.

Well I'm still up for it. Probably won't stay overnight as it is the 2 day GSD show at Weston Park that weekend so hoping to go down on the Sunday. Hey CC you could come over and do the show as well :p
The gastric ulcer evening sounds good but won't be able to make it I'm afraid, our vets had one a while ago, really interesting.

I'm still planning on coming....might only be for a short while though as I doubt puppy will have had her second jab by then and don't want to leave her on her own too long as the rest of the family are at cricket.

I will now not be attending as OH has decided that is the weekend he would like to be taken away for his birthday and we are going no further than Mayo :p

Have a blast, guys (and enjoy the 2 Day, MM!) and well done for hosting, TE :)

I will probably pop by to say hello, if I can overcome my chronic lack of social skills and control my mad dog.

Is there any kind of schedule of events? :p I'm happy to bring drinks and snacks if we're doing that sort of thing.

Well since it was me that started it.......guess I cant really say no now can I :D:D:D I do have a hair appt in the morning, so let me know if I need to change that or I wont be finished there until about 2pm :o

I think we pretty much abandoned the overnight idea didnt we? So just meet up and BBQ type thing, then all make our way home? Depends if that is too much for people who are coming a long way though!

It takes me 2 hours to Bristol from Shropshire (if I don't avoid the M6...takes sightly less if I do) if that's any good to give you a rough idea?

Well - thats not too bad then. Takes me just over an hour to get to Bristol though, mind you, probably longer in the car (tractor!) I have now!

Not sure I would want to travel up and back in one day though, would rather kip the night somewhere with the dogs.

If anyone wants to stay I can offer possibly bed (depends if daughter home) , settee or floor, dogs would be fine too, although my cats might leave home. I am about 15/20 minutes away from TE's place. Would be great if you could make it Ravenwood and Spudlet you have to come, Evie wants to meet Henry. :D

It's a shame it's not the following weekend or I'd have an empty house to provide floor/bed space :( I hope everyone can come! Jack wants to meet everyone :D

I doubt I will, I took he saturday off but did not take the friday:o with means I would be doing a 4 and a half hour journey after a night shift then back home again, I would be dead with exhaustion:(

Thats terribly kind of you MM :) I would be perfectly happy on a settee! And the dogs all cram in and sleep in one kennel if available, or stable/barn whatever! Actually I might ask my son to stay home that night and just bring Flyn with me.

Roughly what time are we meeting and what should I bring food/booze wise?

No problem, the kennel might be a bit small but they are welcome to the stable, or house! Don't know what time we're meeting, personally can't get there until later afternoon/early evening as I work on a Saturday.

I don't think any of us were invited, we just invited ourselves:p However if you wish to stand on formality consider yourself invited! (Hope I don't get lots of pm's now saying why on earth did you invite HER :D)

I wouldn't worry, Kitsune, I didn't even have a dog when this thing was announced and am now inviting myself on the basis that you're all invading my home county so I need to shoo you all back home again (that, and buy my way in with Pimms and strawberries.. :D).

Yay - asked my son if he would stay home that night and he agreed - so I will just bring Flyn with me (so much easier!). But promised him I would leave first thing in the morning - so not too much vino in my glass please girls! ;)
